Downtown Palm Beach Gardens New Years Eve

FORT WALTON BEACH — From fireworks to ball drops, Northwest Florida has plenty of spots to be a little extra when saying goodbye to 2021 and hello to 2022.

Here are 11 spots to ring in New Year's Eve in Destin, Fort Walton Beach and other cities across the Panhandle.

1. HarborWalk Village's New Year's Eve Celebration

HarborWalk Village will bring its signature festivities – free live music and fireworks – into 2022 with a New Year's Eve celebration along the Destin Harbor at 34 Harbor Boulevard. Flash Flood will begin the celebration with music at 7 p.m., followed with headliner The A-Town A-List at 9:30 p.m. A countdown will ensue to the midnight ball drop and fireworks.

2. Baytowne Countdown

Ring in the New Year with family at The Village of Baytowne Wharf's celebration featuring not just one, but two firework displays at 8 p.m. and midnight at 9100 Baytowne Boulevard, Miramar Beach. The night will include children's activities, such as face painting, and live music from DJ Vladir from 6-8 p.m. on the mainstage and 1 More Song from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on the events plaza stage. Those 20 and younger must be accompanied by a legal guardian after 10 p.m.

3. Kiss it Goodbye: NYE Countdown and Drag Show

The Sound Café + Enlightened Studios will host a queer New Year event with PFLAG (Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) featuring a drag show by Lux Vaiyanet and the Haus of Delphinium with musical guest Liquid L & Solar Gypsy. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. The entry fee is $10. Guests will receive PFLAG swag and have an opportunity to win door prizes.

4. New Year's Party at Vibe Nightclub

Say goodbye to 2021 with the Vibe Tribe at Vibe Nightclub with a $5,000 balloon drop. Vibe Nightclub & Lounge is at 116 Perry Ave. SE., Fort Walton Beach.

5. McGuire's New Year's Eve Celebration

Go Irish for New Year's Eve at McGuire's Irish Pub, 33 U.S. Highway 98 E., Destin. The evening will feature live music from Cormac McGuinness and 12Eleven, as well as a free champagne toast at midnight.

6. New Year's at The Block

Celebrate New Year's Eve at The Block with no cover for live music. Celebrate 2022 with party favors, finger food, door prizes, champagne toast and $3,000 total in balloon drops at midnight.

7. New Year's Eve Fireworks on the Beach

Celebrate the beginning of a New Year at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island and countdown to fireworks at the beach. View them from any of The Boardwalk's restaurants, or spread out along the beach and watch them light up the night's sky.

8. New Year's Eve Bash at Rick's on the Island

Enjoy a family friendly New Year's Eve Bash at Rick's on the Island, 1318 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE. The night will feature live music from BT Turner and Preston Hoffman & Family. The night will boast a free champagne toast, Low Country shrimp boil and games.

9. New Year's Eve Beach Ball Drop at Pier Park

Visit Panama City Beach's signature event is back at Pier Park, 600 Pier Park Drive, Panama City Beach. The New Year's Eve Beach Ball Drop features live entertainment, fireworks, a kids' ball drop with 10,000 inflatable beach balls and, of course, the main event! Ring in the New Year as a giant LED-lit beach ball lowers from the 80-foot Celebration Tower. The night will feature family friendly activities at 5:30 p.m., The Barry Fish Band performance at 5:35 p.m., a kids' countdown at 7:30 p.m., beach ball drop at 8 p.m., The Will Thompson Band performance at 8:15 p.m., The Celebrity All-Star Band performance at 10 p.m. – all leading up to the midnight countdown with fireworks.

10. New Year's Eve Celebration at The Hub on 30A

Celebrate New Year's Eve with a little bit of football at The Hub on 30A, 7000 E. County Highway 30A, Santa Rosa Beach. The family gathering place with food and shopping will have College Bowl Games on its Jumbotron starting at 10 a.m. The space will also host a DJ Dance Party from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and an early countdown and beach ball drop at 6 p.m.

11. Pensacola Beach New Year's Eve Fireworks Display

Keep your eyes focused on the Pensacola Beach skies this New Year's Eve for a free firework display along the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk. At the stroke of midnight, a dazzling light display, provided by the beach chamber, will take place overlooking the Santa Rosa Sound from the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk.
